The Beer Tastes Yeasty
  • Too much yeast has been added. One packet of yeast should ferment the beer. If for some reason you need to add extra yeast, only add one more packet, as too much yeast in a beer gives an off-taste.
  • The beer is being stored at a high temperature, causing the sediment in the bottles/barrel to rise and fall. Move the beer to a cooler place for the sediment to settle.
  • The yeast could be in suspension, being too light to settle down. By adding finings, this will clear the beer by settling out the suspended particles.
